Many of our Scott County Citizens do not have email, live in remote areas of the County, are working and do not have access to TV or Radio, and so are unable to get information. You can also go to the website on a computer, tablet or mobile device and click on “Join SCSO Text Alert System” then type in your cell phone area code and number, then click “Submit” and its done. You will then get Text Alerts when we have information to get to you.

Here is the best part…Not only do you get Real Time information directly from Your Sheriff…It is NOT costing any Tax Payer Money or County Money to fund this program. It is fully funded and sponsored by Scott County Businesses who are also helping to make our County a better place to live, work and raise our families. You will receive Sponsor texts periodically to give recognition to these local businesses who help make this possible. Text Services are completely private and at no time can anyone access or see the opted in phone numbers.
